Welcome

...to my Treehouse, where I do a bit of sharing goodies with my readers, and a lot of showing off of my CT tags. It's my little nest in the busy world of psp.

Squirrely has been my nickname since I was a child, both because it rhymes with my real name, and because I'm forgetful and just plain nuts at times. I've been tagging for 2+ decades off and on, and now that I'm retired/disabled I'm pretty much on most of the time now.

I love to share what I make with you, and I LOVE it when you respond with love back for the shares. So have a look around, take what you like and enjoy yourself. Just watch for splinters.

Rock-a-sled'y - a PTU tut

Tube - I've used Andy Cooper's super fun tube, Rocka Sled, which can be found HERE at S&Co.  Please don't use without a license.
Scrap Kit - Bibi's matching kit, "Rock A Sled" is the perfect match, and has 'Bibi-unique' elements in it. You can find it HERE
Mask - MPM103 which can be found HERE
Filters - Eye Candy 3.1 and Drop Shadow
Font -  Fabulous 50's

-------------------------------------------------
Tutorial abbreviations:
s/sa/fl/defl/ = Selections/Select All/Float/Defloat
c/p = copy & paste
d/s = drop shadow
f/f = flood fill
-------------------------------------------------

Unless otherwise directed, add an EyeCandy drop shadow of distance 3, blur 6, opacity 28 with color #000000.

1. Open a new image 750 x 750 and f/f with white, you can crop and r/s later if desired.  Add a new layer and select all. Open paper1 and paste into selection, select none.  Apply mask 103 to this layer and merge group.  Grab your pick tool and pull out each node to each corner of your tag.

2.  Open elem 59 (blue frame), r/s 90% and c/p as a new layer. Open your main tube and r/s it as needed (if using the same tube r/s 60%), then c/p as a new layer positioning a little down and to the right of the frame.  Now open your closeup tube and c/p it under the frame layer in your layers palette.  Use your free form selections tool to trace around the openings of the frame, invert and delete to take away the excess tube. Select none.

3. Highlight the frame layer in your palette and open elem5, r/s 25%.  C/p onto your tag positioning it on the bottom left of frame.  Duplicate and mirror, move this one up a bit (reference my tag).  Open elem4, r/s 85% and c/p it to the right side once again and drop this below the grass/snow layer in your palette. Open elem 34, r/s 50% and c/p as a new layer moving it in front of the white tree.  Now open elem33 and r/s 50%.  C/p and move these over to the right and drop below the white tree so they're tucked behind it

4. Again highlight the frame layer.  Open elem 32 and r/s 50%. C/p as a new layer and encircle the frame openings with it, no d/s.  Open elem 129 and r/s 60%, then c/p as a new layer.  Move it to the top of the frame and use your pick tool to tilt it slightly to the left, sharpen.  Open elem24 and r/s 50, then c/p as a new layer.  Move it also to the top of the frame and drop it below the pendent layer in your palette.  To have these elements appear to be wrapped around each other, still on the ribbon layer, s/sa/fl/defl and then highlight the pendent layer again.  Use your eraser tool and erase a few areas of the pendant inside of the selected areas, the marching ants will stop you from erasing too much.  Once done, select none and add a d/s of 8, 8, 28 to each of these layers.

5. And let's place a few more elements to decorate it up a bit -
::Open elem3 and r/s 25%.  C/p it just below the tree layer in your palette and move it all the way to the left.
::Open elem37, c/p as a new layer and move it below your main tube in your palette and just slightly up enough to see both hearts, no d/s.
::Highlight the white background layer and open elem72, c/p as a new layer moving it down so it peek out from the bottom.
::Open elem31 and r/s 50%.  C/p as a new layer to the top of your layer palette. Move it enough so none of it covers the faces of either tubes.

6. R/s your tag as desired, add your artist's copyright and your name, and enjoy your new winter tag!!
