...to my Treehouse, where I do a bit of sharing goodies with my readers, and a lot of showing off of my CT tags. It's my little nest in the busy world of psp.

Squirrely has been my nickname since I was a child, both because it rhymes with my real name, and because I'm forgetful and just plain nuts at times. I've been tagging for 2+ decades off and on, and now that I'm retired/disabled I'm pretty much on most of the time now.

I love to share what I make with you, and I LOVE it when you respond with love back for the shares. So have a look around, take what you like and enjoy yourself. Just watch for splinters.

Enchanted Entrance - a ptu tut

Tube -  I've used Danny Lee's absolutely adorable Cinderella-ish tube, Dancing Princess, which you can purchase and S&Co. HERE.  It's on sale at this writing too.  Please don't use Danny's tubes without a license.
Scrap Kit - Kizzed by Kelz designed a stunner of a matching kit, also called Dancing Princess and also on sale HERE.  You will LOVE to have this kit in the summertime, it's SO pretty!!
Mask - WSL_mask108 which can be found on the blog the the Wee Scottish Lass HERE
Filters - Eye Candy 3.1 Drop Shadow
Font -  Karl Wright
Tutorial abbreviations:
s/sa/fl/defl/ = Selections/Select All/Float/Defloat
c/p = copy & paste
d/s = drop shadow
f/f = flood fill
Unless otherwise directed, add an EyeCandy drop shadow of
direction 315, distance 5, blur 8, opacity 33 with color #000000.

1. Open a new image 750 x 600 and f/f with white, we can crop and r/s later.  Open paper 5, r/s 94% and c/p as a new layer and snap crop it to fit your canvas:

Apply the WSL_mask108 and merge group, duplicate and flip, then merge down.  Add a d/s of direction 315, distance 2, blur 3, opacity 40 with color #000000 and then sharpen.

2. Open elem 71 and c/p as a new layer. Tap inside it with your magic wand and expand by 5.  Open paper 18 and promote background layer by right clicking on it in the layer palette.  R/s 75% with all layers UNchecked, free rotate to the right 45 degrees. C/p this paper under the lace frame.  Add a d/s to the frame.

3. Open elem 13 and r/s 50%. C/p as a new layer and move to the far right, duplicate and mirror, merge down.  With your magic wand tap inside one of these frames and expand by 5, add a new raster layer below the frame.  Open paper 14 and c/p into selection, select none. Duplicate and then mirror, merge down.  Add a d/s to the frame layer and then highlight the paper layer again.

4. Open your closeup tube and mirror it.  C/p it as a new layer to the right side moving it so half of the face is in the frame, duplicate and hide this layer.  Highlight the paper layer once again and s/sa/fl/defl, invert and tap delete on the closeup, select none.  Un-hide the duplicate layer and r/s it 80%. Move it over to the left side frame and fit the entire face in the frame.  Once again select the paper and invert, tap delete on the tube, select none. Duplicate each closeup layer and add a Gaussian Blur of 6 to it, change the blend mode to soft light.  Change the blend mode of each original tube layer to hard light or whatever blend mode suits your tube.  Add d/s to the frame layer. Hide all the other layers and merge together all the frame layers, then un-hide the others again.

5. Open your main tube, r/s if needed and c/p as a new layer, centering the head with the top of the diamond lace frame.  Duplicate and repeat the Gaussian Blur to this layer, add a d/s to the original tube.

6. Now let's decorate things up a bit. We'll go left to right.
:::Elem 102, r/s 40% and c/p as a new layer moving it to the left side of the left frame.
:::Elem 25, r/s 25% and c/p it moving it to overlap the bottle on the left.
:::Elem 92, r/s 35% and c/p it in front of the rose on the left.
:::Elem 3, r/s 35% and c/p to the right bottom corner of the left frame.  Add the same d/s from step 1.
:::Elem 23, r/s 30% and c/p to the top of your layer palette.  Sharpen it and move it in front of the filigree heart.
:::Elem 64, r/s 50% and c/p below the brooch layer and move it a bit to the left of it.  Duplicate and mirror
:::Elem 80, r/s 50% and c/p below the leaf layer and move it to almost the center of the tag.  Erase any of the stem that's sticking out of the other elements.
:::Elem 54, r/s 40% and c/p as a new layer moving it to the right of the tube.  Grab the leaf that's on the right side and move it further to the right now.
:::Elem 52, r/s 20% and c/p moving in front of the clock a bit.
:::Elem 39, r/s 50% and c/p it to just above the frames layer.  Move it to the center bottom of the right side frame.
:::Elem 36, r/s 20% and c/p above the clock layer and place it in the middle of the right side frame.
:::Elem 38, r/s 60% and c/p just below the right leaf layer, move it to the far right of the frame.
:::Elem 83 r/s 50%. C/p it way down below the frames layer and use your mover tool to tilt it a bit to the right.  Put your name on this banner.
:::Elem 36, r/s 50%. C/p at the top of your layer palette and move it to the top of the right sided frame.  Duplicate and mirror over the left frame, merge down.  Add the same d/s you used in step 1 on these crowns.
:::Elem 44, r/s 75%. C/p as a new layer above the main tube layer and move it to the left side of the diamond shaped frame.  Add your d/s and then grab your free form selections tool and trace around her skirt part that the ribbon covers and promote it to a layer.  Move this layer above the ribbon.
:::Elem 72, r/s 95% and c/p as a new layer above your tube.  Move it down towards the bottom.

7. Crop and/or r/s as needed, add your artist's copyright information and your name to the banner if you haven't already, and you're done!
