...to my Treehouse, where I do a bit of sharing goodies with my readers, and a lot of showing off of my CT tags. It's my little nest in the busy world of psp.

Squirrely has been my nickname since I was a child, both because it rhymes with my real name, and because I'm forgetful and just plain nuts at times. I've been tagging for 2+ decades off and on, and now that I'm retired/disabled I'm pretty much on most of the time now.

I love to share what I make with you, and I LOVE it when you respond with love back for the shares. So have a look around, take what you like and enjoy yourself. Just watch for splinters.

BCA Templates

It's been quite awhile since I made a template, largely because I don't think I'm very good at it.  Then I made the tag below (using one the masks I gave you Monday) and thought, "huh, that would make a pretty good template"....and here we are today lol.

Once I made this template, I checked out the blog where my old templates were to link you to it. Lo and behold they weren't there anymore.  So I pulled them out and updated them a bit, and now I've got 4 BCA templates for you.  Cool beans.

Seriously, do you think you'd like to see more templates from me?  Let me know in the comments.

Ok now shhhhhhhh...want a sneak peek into something frighteningly adorable coming your way??
You could get it for free too - but you didn't hear that from me!

Masked Monday - BCA Week

My blog, this week, is dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness Month

There's not one of us who hasn't been touched by losing someone to Breast Cancer.  The saddest thing about this fact to me, is that this is one of the easiest cancers to avoid!!  We hear it non-stop, "early detection is the key", yet so many of us STILL don't do self exams.  My family is rife with breast cancer horrors, so I've checked myself faithfully for as long as I can remember, and taught my daughters how to check theirs at pretty young ages.  And this morning,  I found is an Early Detection App for my phone!  Yep, "there's an app for that".  Pure genius.  And you should have your husband or boyfriend put it on his phone as well.  If you don't have a way to download apps, please check your breasts no more than once a month, and it's best to choose the same day so it's easier to remember.  I've always done it on the day I pay rent, and literally I send the check, and head right for a bathroom and exam my breasts.  But today I downloaded this app and I'm jazzed about it.

So you've no excuse NOT to keep yourself safe. You have people on this earth that need you.

Here are some BCA masks to help you share your Breast Power support with your friends.

Masked Monday & show off

Today is the first day of Autumn and it sure feels like it here in NY.  Saturday I was sweating my brains out at charity volleyball game on the beach, today I'm wearing my hoodie as I sit here.

Here are this week's masks for you.

Download HERE and I hope you enjoy them!!

When I lost someone close to me to breast cancer, all of the pink and rah rah's surrounding the month of October annoyed me.  Like how is this going to bring back my 35 yr. old cousin, what good is all that pink going to do for her, or anyone for that matter.  With age comes wisdom, and in this area at least, for me that old adage works.  I came to realize it's not about the pink, or the cheerleading, or the charity runs at all.

October being Breast Cancer Awareness month is about the solidarity of being female.
It celebrates the un-ending support that female friends give each other when needed.
It's a symbol of the hope that we're doing enough for our "breast friends".
And it's the fear that it could be us, at anytime in our lives.

So now I do all the pink, dorky stuff, which includes wearing pink tags galore!
Dees'Sign Post has a beautiful kit, "October BCA" that's gotten me started on my pink parade
in both of the tags below.  It's a very versatile kit - and it's on sale.

The above tube by Shawn Palek is probably my favorite BCA tube of all time.
It pays a sassy reverence to those going through the healing process.

This glorious song is what woke me up to what all the pink was for.
Melissa Etheridge's "I Run For Life.  She is a breast cancer survivor.

Wallpaper Wednesday - Cute Alert!!

I don't think I have had more fun making a wallpaper than I did with this week's.
Between the preciously sassy tube of Lady Mishkas, and Dees'SignPost newest
mini kit "Brew Time", which is over and beyond the cutest Halloween kit in the
history of Halloween - I've spent the last few hours giggling every time I pasted anything
onto my screen.  I know, I know....I gush like a groupie all of the time about Dee's kits.
But this one, THIS ONE is just too cute for words.
Though I always find those, huh?

Oh, and it's on sale  HERE.

Here's the inspiration tag I made for Dee
I stretched out some of the embellies & added a few more to fill out the screen for the desktops.
There's one for each popular size - 1280x1024,  1366x768,  1600x900,  1920x1080

ACK it's so stinkin' cute!!  Download HERE and enjoy!!

Masked Monday & Showoff

Happy Rosh Hashanah to all of you that celebrate it!!

I've made a few more Halloween-ish masks for you today.

You can download them HERE & I hope you enjoy them.

I've had an enjoyable morning playing with Dees'Signpost new mini-kit
which makes me laugh, because I don't see anything mini about this kit except the price!
The colors are just yummy and her elements are really unique.  I thought I'd have
a hard time finding a tube in my stash to match, I actually found a ton and had a hard
time choosing just one lol.  It's such a great color combo for this season I think.

"WBW" is on sale right now, so go grab it....go....hurry!!!

Fruits of Autumn

Autumn is probably my favorite season.  I love the changing leaves, the little bites of chill in the air, the scents - just everything about it and I can't wait for it to begin.  It was a mild summer where I live to be sure, but I'm still so over the heat and sand on the floor!

Most of us are already tagging Halloween, so I thought this week I'd make a cluster frame celebrating my favorite time of year for you.  As you know Squirrel's are always foraging around for goodies to store for the winter months...

I hope you enjoy it (and leave me a bit of thanks)!

Wallpaper Wednesday - Cutesy Halloween :)

Did you like the tag I showed you Monday using Dee's kit, Autumns End?   I needed something Fall-ish for my own desktop wallpaper and loved the tag, so I made them for all of us.
Here you go, in all of the popular sizes for monitors

Download HERE from box.net

So you can call me a wimp if you like, but I prefer a cute Halloween to a scary one.  I don't like scary movies, I've never seen Walking Dead on TV (gasp!), and I never, EVER read Stephen King anymore because I still have nightmares that bear a resemblance to The Shining.
Scary is just too scary for delicate little ol' me.

I love Halloween as much as the next tagger, but I favor cute little witches and monsters.  Dee has helped me out with my Halloween proclivities with her adorable holiday kit
I mean when you quote a beloved Disney song, you're pretty safely in the scare-free dept.  There are also Bibbity Bobbity Boo Cluster Frames if you prefer to use those.  I combined a bit of both for these 2 sweet little tags using Kajenna and AlfaDesire tubes.

Have a Happy Hump Day everyone!  Enjoy your desktop!!

Masked Monday - Halloween

Happy Labor Day
to all of my American readers!  I hope you get to enjoy your day NOT working.

Today I have some spooky Halloween masks for you to snag.

Download HERE from box.net.
Tut Writers - if you use my masks in your tuts, send me the link so I can share it here.

And while we're on the subject of Autumn, Dees'Signpost has a super sweet kit called
which can be used for any Autumn tags either soft or colorful.  The palette is very lush with Fall colors, which you can see here in this playful tag I made.  The kit even comes with it's own mask - BONUS!!  And it's on sale right now - and it's got a doggy in it.  'Nuff said.

FTU Desktops and Autumn Masks

In case you've been living under a rock (or don't use Facebook), you know that the tagging community has been taken by storm - or steam as it were - by Dees'Signpost new kit,
I can't stop playing with it - 3 days now and all I'm doing is making one gorgeous tag after another with it and I still have more ideas, it is THAT good.  I've never seen a kit with such detail as this one, and even if you're not a fan of steampunk, you're likely to fall in love with it too.

Check it out..
Pretty amazing huh?  This is about 1/3 of the elements, and for this tag
I was able to go a different route...

A SteamPup - how cute is he??  He needed elements that a doggy would be interested in - like sewers, boots to chew on and butterflies to chase.  Another 1/3 of the kit done, every element sheer perfection!

Well of course I had to make you some desktop wallpapers even though I didn't make it here on Wednesday, and for this I added a few extra elements and my favorite ones from the two tags above.  I hope you like it.

In the zip file you'll find the 4 most popular sizes of Desktops,
1920 x 1080; 1600 x 900, 1366 x 768 and 1280 x 1024
Download HERE from box.net & enjoy!

As I shared with you on Monday, I've got a FTU scrapkit on the Creative Misfits Creations Blog for you, and now my Autumn Masks have been added as well.

You can grab the masks HERE and the FTU scrap kit HERE.  Be sure to check everyone else's contributions this month, there are templates & word arts for the taking.  Just be sure to leave a note of thanks for whatever you download.
